Denver, CO, October 15, 2026 —

The Colorado High School Activities Association has placed Lutheran High School on probation following accusations of racist behavior by students and spectators at recent football games. CHSAA has also threatened to suspend the school’s athletic programs if it does not take corrective action.

Under the stated requirement, Lutheran High School must implement a plan addressing its culture and conduct. If it does not, it could face indefinite suspension from activities sponsored by CHSAA. The available information does not specify a deadline for the plan or describe what measures it must include.

The allegations concern behavior attributed to students and spectators at recent games. They are described as accusations; the information provided does not detail the specific conduct alleged, identify those involved, or report the outcome of any investigation. It also does not state whether the school has responded publicly or whether CHSAA has announced additional conditions for the probation.

The association’s threatened suspension would affect the school’s participation in CHSAA-sponsored activities, according to the information provided. The scope of any possible suspension beyond that description, including which athletic programs might be affected, has not been specified. No dates for the games or for CHSAA’s decision were provided.

For now, the stated next step is for Lutheran High School to carry out a corrective action plan addressing culture and conduct. The information available does not indicate whether the school has submitted or begun implementing such a plan. CHSAA’s probation and the possibility of an indefinite suspension remain the disciplinary measures described.
