Sage Ridge expands its educational journey with the launch of Kindergarten in 2027-28, becoming Reno’s only independent K-12 school.
RENO, NV, UNITED STATES, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Sage Ridge School today announced it will launch a Kindergarten program beginning in the 2027-28 school year. The addition establishes Sage Ridge as Reno’s only independent K-12 school, offering families a seamless educational journey from a child’s earliest school years through high school graduation.
The new program represents a significant milestone in the school’s continued evolution and commitment to delivering an exceptional educational experience rooted in academic excellence, character development, and meaningful relationships.
For nearly three decades, Sage Ridge has served students in grades 1-12, building a reputation for rigorous academics, small class sizes, and a vibrant school community. Beginning in 2027-28, families can start their Sage Ridge experience in Kindergarten and benefit from a continuous K-12 educational pathway.
“The addition of Kindergarten is a natural and exciting next step for Sage Ridge,” said Bill Delbrugge, Head of School. “As Reno’s only independent K-12 school, we will be able to provide families with a seamless educational experience that begins in Kindergarten and continues through graduation. This continuity allows students to build strong relationships, grow in confidence, and benefit from a program intentionally designed to support their development at every stage.”
The Kindergarten program will foster curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through hands-on experiences and a strong foundation in literacy, mathematics, social-emotional development, and exploration. Consistent with the Sage Ridge educational philosophy, students will learn in small classes where they are known, supported, and challenged as individuals.
The launch of Kindergarten also enhances Sage Ridge’s ability to deliver a cohesive educational experience across all grade levels. Students will progress through a program intentionally designed to build skills, character, and leadership over time, benefiting from the continuity of a single school community throughout their academic journey.
From foundational learning in the Lower School to advanced coursework, athletics, arts, outdoor education, leadership opportunities, and college preparation in the Upper School, Sage Ridge provides students with opportunities to explore their interests, discover their strengths, and prepare for success in college and life.
Applications for the inaugural Kindergarten class are now being accepted for the 2027-28 school year. Families interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to visit www.sageridge.org or contact the Admissions Office at admissions@sageridge.org.
