Ischgl, Austria, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The five-star Elizabeth Arthotel reopens in the Austrian Alps on 26 November 2026 for a new winter of ski-in/ski-out luxury. Set directly beside the slopes in the high-altitude resort of Ischgl, the intimate, family-run boutique hotel has 40 luxurious rooms and suites, a rooftop spa and infinity pool, an evolving contemporary art collection, and fine dining led by Austrian Head Chef Thomas Zechner.

Elizabeth is Ischgl’s only five-star adults-only hotel, welcoming guests aged 16 and over. Its One MICHELIN Key was confirmed for a second consecutive year in the MICHELIN Guide’s September 2026 announcement. Personalised service, warm hospitality and an extensive wine collection complete the Elizabeth experience.
Founded in 1976 by Günther and Elisabeth Aloys, the hotel is celebrating its 50th year and is now led by their daughter Mirjam Aloys and her husband Markus Pfister, continuing a family legacy closely entwined with Ischgl’s development as a high-end international ski destination.
Elizabeth’s annual art programme will continue during winter 2026/27, with new exhibitions, installations and collaborations joining its permanent collection. Further details will be announced separately.
Ischgl’s 239km of pistes rise to 2,872 metres and include skiing across the Austrian-Swiss border into Samnaun. The altitude supports reliable snow from late November into early May, with skiing scheduled from 26 November 2026 until 2 May 2027. Elizabeth will welcome guests until mid-April.
Beyond the slopes, Ischgl’s winter calendar gives the season its pace. The Top of the Mountain Opening Concert launches proceedings in the village on 28 November, with Westlife as this year’s headliner; over three decades, the series has brought Elton John, Tina Turner, Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Christina Aguilera to Ischgl.
The Ischgl Trophy follows from 2 to 5 December, after a 2025 debut featuring Dominic Thiem, Tommy Haas and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and by January the ski area becomes an open-air gallery as international artists carve monumental snow sculptures for Shapes in White, from 10 to 15 January 2027.
From late March 2027, Spring Blanc pairs sunny late-season skiing with Alpine food and live music, including the Top of the Mountain Easter and Spring concerts and the International Spring Snow Festival in Samnaun. Christina Aguilera drew 19,000 people to the 2026 Closing Concert.
