Dr. Analía Gómez Vidal, C.P.C. is the creator and host of Lucky to Be Here, motivated by her own experience as a first-generation and international student across countries, and after living in the United States for over a decade. She started Lucky to Be Here as part of her business, AGV Services LLC, which works with organizations and professionals to redefine what is possible for career development across industries and countries. Her goal was to highlight the value and the depth of these stories and to show the human side of what we do not see in checklists, bureaucracies, and achievements. “(…) we get to learn from them, and feel inspired by their courage, their creativity and their hope,” Dr. Analía says in her first episode of Lucky to Be Here.

Episodes for Season 2 come out every other Wednesday. Season 1 is already available and features 25 episodes and bonus episodes with guests from countries around the world sharing the nuances and commonalities of being international students and professionals. From being the first one to leave the home, to reinventing careers while dealing with visas, or facing the challenges of relationships and parenting across cultures, languages, and borders. Each conversation also serves as a new space for rethinking and reframing experiences, with guests consistently pointing out how their conversation with Dr. Analía has gifted them new perspectives and lessons from their own stories.
